HISTORY OF THE CHURCH OF PAKISTAN

The Church of Pakistan was started by a layman pastor, Peter Daniel, who was working in Bahrain as an engineer. He and an American Christian brother did ministry among the Pakistani and Indian people. During this time Brother Daniel served as the translator. Peter Daniel's son Rehmat Daniel was the Bishop of the Church of Pakistan.. By 1976 Bishop Daniel became a full time pastor. In 1978 He incorporated Church of God in Pakistan as a Denomination in Pakistan. Giving Church of God Pakistan full legal status as a Christian Denomination recognized by the government of Pakistan.

Bishop Daniel's son Bishop Jonathan Rehmat The grandson of Peter Daniel is a third generation Christian - incredible in a land so hostile to Christianity.

WONDERFUL RESULTS

Bishop Rehmat Daniel, has raised up and organized over 200 churches for the Church of Pakistan since 1977.   As a result of his dedicated labor and the faithful work of many people, the Church has a voice in almost every city in Pakistan! More than 26,000 people attend these churches.  This is a tremendous miracle because only 2% of the population of Pakistan is Christian. Of the 180 million population, 97% are Muslim. It is only by the grace of God that the Church is strong and well established in Pakistan.
