Bishop Jonathan
Rehmat
The General Overseer of the Church
of God in
Pakistan

Pakistan International Church
Ministries
4660 Penn Street
Philadelphia, PA 19124
Pakistan International Church Ministries
is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. P.I.C.M.
was started by Bishop Kenneth Delany and Bishop Jonathan Rehmat to address the
need of getting the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Pakistan and
central Asia. The board of Directors of P.I.C.M. are pastors
across denominational lines.
Target Mission of Church of God Pakistan
It is the vision of
Bishop Jonathan to bring far more than acceptance for the Christian
Community in Pakistan it is the Bishop's desire is to
bring a total peace and harmony between these two religions in
the nation of Pakistan. The two main tools envisioned for this
purpose is:
-
Placing a Family Altar in
the home of every believer and member of Church of God
Pakistan plus now our outreach efforts also include
Catholics, Presbyterians, Baptists, Seventh Day
Adventists, Full Gospel Assembly, Assemblies of God and
several other Christian Denominations. For more
information on Family Altars click here

-
Placing free schools for
Christian and Muslim children in every village where
we have a church building that can be used as a school
during the week.
Schools for Pakistan
There are Two Kinds of Schools we are building in Pakistan:
Wisdom Temple Schools These are being built in our large
churches - these are large schools with paying students. They go
from Nursery School to University Degrees the curriculum
includes learning American English and computer skills. They are very expensive
to build, the first one we opened is in the National
Headquarters of Church of God Pakistan. See the article in the
next column under the picture of Bishop Delany and Dr. Awan.
These schools will pay to build schools and churches in the
villages.
There is a full English Language Center with English
speaking Americans taking them through conversational English
and a Computer Lab including hi-speed internet in each Wisdom
Temple School.
and Micro Schools. A micro school is a college educated
school teacher and textbooks. The cost of a micro school is in
most cases $300.00 dollars month. We are going to place these in
villages where there is no access to public schools and where at
this time we have a church building in that village.
This will serve two purposes, one there is no additional cost to
purchase land $8,000 to $12,000 in most small villages and build
the church/school $15,000, two the local church will take on a
new meaning in the village to the Muslims living there, it will
be their school. In the past when church burnings took place the
local villagers had no reason to interfere, however schools are
hard to get to and expensive to send your children to. Any
village kids in school are in a city with relatives or family
friend for 9 months of the year and the cost is heavy for the
parents to carry.
Now put a school in the village for free with high quality
education that include all the subjects that make the child
employable i.e., math science, English, Urdu, biology, social
studies, western and Asian history, ethics, geography and all
subjects need to pass the Federal testing for a high school
degree.
Now that church building is the village school 5 days a week, so
now the local villagers have much reason to protect the
building. It is our intent to make the Christians in each
village valuable to the local Muslim population. We will foster
relationships between them, a kind of partnership where each
side has ownership of the school and has a say in the course
curriculum being taught to their kids.
One further plan for the micro schools, when any student
Christian, Muslim, boy or girl becomes an above average
performer we will sit down with the parents and if they are
willing, make a plan to move that child to a Wisdom Temple
School where they will continue their education through college.
The added benefit of the Wisdom Temple Schools is each will have
a English Language Center and Computer Lab including high speed
internet.
Donations
At this point Bishop Kenneth Delany will be coming to see you for financial help to
move that student into their future. If you would like to help
us now you can use the donate button below. We are looking for
donations as small as $10.00 a month and as large as $300.00 a
month that will support 1 Micro School in a village. If you
elect to support a Micro School the name of the village and
teacher will be given to you and we will also give you the names
of students if the parents will allow their names to be
released. With of with out names you will be given updates on
academic progress of students by name or number every two
months.
Bishop Kenneth Delany's
visit to Pakistan December 2009 through January 2010.
My focus in this visit was to open
the first Wisdom Temple School and to bring the lead Pastors and
District Supervisors to the headquarters for a week of
uplifting, Bible training and mutual commitment to the mission
of bringing Jesus Christ to Pakistan. |

Founder
Bishop Rehmat Daniel and Wife
Bishop
Daniel 1942 to 2007
Bishop Rehmat Daniel, has raised up and organized over 200
churches for God in Pakistan since 1967. In 1978 he incorporated
Church of God in Pakistan as a formal Non-Profit and is a
recognized Denomination in the nation of Pakistan.
As a result of his dedicated labor and the faithful work of many
people, this ministry has a voice in almost every city in
Pakistan! More than 25,000 people attend these churches.
This is a tremendous miracle because only 2% of the population
of Pakistan is Christian. Of the 178 million population, 97% are
Muslim. It is only by the grace of God that the Church is strong
and well established in Pakistan.
Because of diabetes Bishop Daniels has had both legs amputated
above the knee. Deciding that a wheel chair is not a fit vehicle
for a man of the cloth, Bishop Daniels had himself fitted with
two artificial legs and he went back on the streets walking on
his own two (bought and paid for) legs to preach the gospel.
Bishop Daniel went to his reward Jan 17th 2007.
Grand Opening
Wisdom Temple School System
Bishop Kenneth Delany and Dr. Firdos Ashique
Awan Federal
Minister for Population and Welfare at School Opening Ceremony
On
Sunday January 17th 2010 Wisdom Temple School
System held it's grand opening
for the first major school that takes local children from
Nursery School through College level education.. Invited to the
ceremony were local Community leaders, Province leaders and Federal leaders. The
keynote speakers were Federal Minister Dr. Ashique Awan and
Bishop Kenneth Delany. The first speaker Bishop Delany spoke of the opening of this school as being more than
an church endeavor, that it was a clear victory for two nations,
the United States and Pakistan. That remark brought on a
standing ovation from a audience that was at least 75% Muslim
including all of the political leaders
except Congressman Raifque from the Punjab Assembly who is a
Christian. Dr. Awan then gave a rousing message to the people to
get straight who their friends are. Dr.Awan spoke of Bishop
Delany an American working to build a school in Pakistan,
traveling halfway around the world to be at the opening
ceremony. Then Dr. Awan spoke of the work done by the
United States in the 2008 at the Quetta earthquake site. Where the
United States was the only nation who spent serious money to
rebuild the destroyed villages and homes. Dr. Awan made the point that the dislike of Americans was a
tool of Muslim religious leaders who had no substantial message
to preach to their people other than hatred for the Americans.
She also pointed out that none of the big oil Islamic nations
put any money into emergency services for the Quetta earthquake
site or to rebuild that region. Dr. Awan went on to state "only the United States stood by our side in that hour". Again a
big applause came from the audience as she finished her speech.
After the event Dr. Awan invited Bishop Delany to visit her
office in Islamabad to discuss the education of Pakistan
children.
It is the great desire of all moderate Muslims to educate
Pakistan. The power of the religious right is the ignorance of
the village people. Local schools are rare the Pakistan
government does not have the money to build enough schools
to cover the nation.
